Freedom of Expression - Exploring Moral Courage
Courage isn’t the absence of fear. Courage is the recognition that some things are more important than fear. We are all human - sometimes standing up for what’s right is scary. We might lose friends, popularity, and even family. But when is making such a sacrifice necessary? Does having freedom of expression mean we are obligated to speak out? Leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi, challenged their own communities for the sake of human rights. This is called moral courage. Learn about real-life "Agents of Moral Courage" from North America to Darfur - and discuss how you too can make real change for your community and the world!
